Supervision in Psychiatric Nursing and Non-Psychiatric
Summary:
Clinical supervision constitutes a significant parameter (factor) of daily professional management. Nurses appear to have high levels of stress and it is observed that their professional satisfaction progressively decreases. This assay's purpose is to investigate the effect of clinical supervision to nurses, as well as to examine the outcome of it to professional satisfaction and burn out. A bibliographical research was conducted in the electronic database scopus using the key words "clinical supervision", "nurses", "phychiatric nurses","job satisfaction","burn out". As far as clinical supervision is concerned, the results indicate that it affects nurses in many ways. For example, professional satisfaction and autonomy are positively correlated to it, where as stress, emotional exhaustion and professional burn out show a negative relation to clinical supervision.
