The contribution of the internship to the training of future teachers in the framework of the 1st degree of studies at the Department of French Language and Literature of the National and Capodistrian University of Athens.
Summary:
The internship course is the period of training which completes the student’s theoretical studies and helps him to be able to manage efficiently a school class.
The purpose of this dissertation is to acknowledge in what extent this internship is effective on students’ career and in what extent it can prepare them to be sufficient and capable regarding their future work as teachers.
This thesis was based primarily on the student’s guide of the Department of French Language and Literature of Athens from 1995 to 2018 and secondly on the personal interviews of 10 teachers of French literature, where 9 of them were supervisors of at least one student who were doing an internship during the time of the interview. Those teachers were teaching in primary as well as in secondary schools.
