The historical evolution of fashion businesses and the strategies that followed, exploiting the circumstances of each era. Business Case Study A, B,
Summary:
This diploma thesis, entitled "The historical development of fashion enterprises and the strategies that followed, taking advantage of the circumstances of each era", is studying the course of business, mainly Western Europe, in the fashion industry since its inception in the early 19th century up to this day, detailing the different styles and trends of women alongside the economic situation at the moment, as the stereotype prevailed that social or class of every man is characterized by the clothes they wear. We will look fundamentally at the reaction of businesses in difficult times such as crisis or war and the reasoning of the strategies they followed to survive and eventually succeed as well as the opportunities they have exploited. For example, with the triggering of world wars, women's style has become even simpler, as there have been major shortcomings, but this has not stopped designers from launching new fashion. An important example during the First World War was the conversion of military clothing into a trend. Thus, the historical evolution of the course of the fashion industry has been formulated according to historical events that prevailed at each season and then in the second part follow three business case studies from the fashion industry with a completely different course and strategy or each a. The study of each case has been done by the interview method, the recording of the answers and the development of the conclusion. Finally, the reason for choosing this researchtopic was firstly my love for fashion and engaging with her and secondly the curiosity about how to set up, run and run such a business at different times and with different adversities and whether it is feasible with difficulties and great obstacles to survive and succeed.
