Summary:
Project management and their possible failure is a complex process for organizations. Based on the statistics, it is estimated that about 20-30% of the projects fail and are abandoned. Failures appear to be more important in the telecommunications sector, while cost levels are also high.
Projects in the telecommunications sector are quite complex and are characterized as being at high risk with significant technological and organizational changes. Key areas of success are the numbers of areas where satisfactory results will be achieved, the segment, the organization, the objectives set, the budget, etc. In particular, telecommunications are particularly import ants and an integral part of social reality. The purpose of the study is to investigate the causes of the failure of a project, focusing on a case study of Nokia. Essentially it will become clear with the bibliographic and research data presented on the reasons and problems of the failure of Nokia's projects.
To achieve this goal, the productive approach has been adopted by case study of Nokia. In particular, the reasons for the failure of a project focusing on the particular company were studied. The case of Nokia is related to something clearly defined by gathering the necessary information and data.
Nokia's project led to failure as it was characterized by instability, uncertainty, complexity. It was a project that failed to exploit the technological potential and the specific characteristics of the market. Nokia at the project level has failed due to complacency and lack of innovation, lack of capacity and features of technology, increased market shares by competitors, long - term attachment to the Symbian operating system, and weakness creating competing products, and was often not user-friendly but rather complex.
