The interpersonal relationships of the educational staff is a basic contributing factor of the effective functioning of the school unit. At the same time the interpersonal relationships create a positive school environment that is being reflected upon all aspects of the school reality. For the research part of this project, the perceptions of the educational staff on several aspects of the relationships they develop in their school units have been presented. This included their perception on the benefits they gain from their interpersonal relationships, as well as the obstacles they have to overcome and their opinion on the contributing role of the Director in shaping their relationships. Overall the perceptions of the educational staff for the relationships with their colleagues are positive but they fluctuate according to their professional level, their age, the length of their service in the school unit they work for and their educational background. In the end, a potential improvement of the quality of the contributing factors that influence the most the interpersonal relationships could influence in a positive way the perceptions of the educational staff when it comes to their interpersonal relationships in the school unit they work for.
