The Impact of Additional Feedback on the Barracuda Figure
Summary:
The purpose of this research is to study the effect of additional feedback on the Barracuda figure. The study involved 16 female swimmers in the swimming category of 163.25 7.5 cm, weight 52.2375 5.5 kg and 5.5 3 years of training experience. The participants were divided into 4 groups: visual, auditory, kinesthetic and control. Initial measurement, one week intervention and final measurement. In the visual group there was video feedback, in acoustic via headphones, in kinesthetic with external help and in the control group there was no feedback. The process is completed with a score of 3 judges, according to the FINA scale. The results of the survey were not statistically significant. In the control group the initial to final measurement had a difference of 0.1 degrees, in the visual there was no difference, in acoustic 0.35 and in kinesthetic 0.225. From this research we conclude that there is no significant improvement in any kind of feedback. However, the biggest improvement was the acoustics.
