Summary:
The presence of theatrical activities in nursing homes, where minors are accommodated, and potential spectators, are creating a new genre that belongs to the large family of Applied Theater, the Theater at Children's Hospital. Well organized plays, with works written for this purpose and directed so that they can be adapted to any area of the hospital, are given by theater groups who have perceived the benefit of the theater to sick people. The «Solidarity Theater for Children» group of the New World Theater is the first professional theater group to launch this action in our country. We carried out a case study, using the work of the team that mentioned above, with the intention of exploring the benefits that may come from viewing a hospital performance by underage hospitalized viewers. The research was based on foreign language and Greek literature, reviews, publications, and interviews about the "Solidarity Theater for Children" action, its play, as well as an interview given to the writer. By first referring to the Applied Theater and then analyzing the profile of minor patients, we conclude that the theatre contributes to pediatric nursing structures
