Summary:
Human life depends to a large extent on the good physical condition of the heart, but the influence of various factors (relatives or acquired) may lead to the manifestation of various pathological conditions that affect the normal functioning of the heart and the body in general. Advanced scientific and technological progress, as well as the modern way of life, have increased the incidence of cardiovascular disease, which ranks first in the world mainly in terms of the western world, including Greece.
Responsible for the epidemic of cardiovascular disease are considered to be diet (eg, high in animal fat and table salt), lifestyle (eg sedentary lifestyle, irregular exercise), increased life expectancy, smoking, and and others (anxiety, obesity) or unknown causes that may promote atherosclerosis. Cardiovascular risk factors include hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, smoking, metabolic syndrome, obesity, lack of exercise, diabetes, family history, family age, gender and gender (men), and menopause. Of these, the first 5 are modifiable.
Recognizing the enormous importance of the above risk factors for the onset and burden of vascular disease is a prerequisite for their clinical treatment by the clinician. In recent years, Interventional Cardiology has taken revolutionary steps towards the abolition of surgery in the treatment of serious heart disease. The result of these important developments is the fact that today in some cases percutaneous correction of valvular diseases (mitral and aortic) without surgery is performed in specific cases.
In some cases a balloon is drilled, and in other cases a new valve is implanted in place of the patient. Cardiac nursing care is an advanced nursing care system. It is not only based on electronic machines and devices, but primarily on the live presence and the experienced eye of nurses.
