Summary:
In this master thesis study, my graduation frames of the graduate of the National University of Athens, trying to research methods and training and development practices of human resources in the hospitality and tourism sector.
There is a need to upgrade the organization and management system of education and human resources development in the tourism hospitality sector. It is clear that concepts such as education, leadership, strategic planning, quality and strength of the human potential need special attention and at the same time identification and analysis.
The rapid growth and international expansion of the tourism industry was the reason for the creation for many new shelters and the constant demand for experienced and well-trained staff. Today’s job market is highly competitive, with the best-prepared candidates to find the best jobs.
As for the hospitality industry is overly exciting and interesting and offers very good wages and excellent development opportunities. To succeed someone in this area should primarily have or acquire a spirit of service, which plays a significant role in the success of the hospitality industry. Individuals with service spirit feel happy when they help other people and make the customer experience be memorable.
Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine as best as possible, the operation of the concept of ‘Human Resources’ exploration methods and practices applicable to the ever growing tourism industry and the strategies of the manages of each hotel units in the management of human resources.
