Geotechnical And Geological Conditions Of Foundation On Construstion Site Based on Vas.Sophias Street And Kon/nou Palaiologou Street Marousi, Attikis

The given dissertation is based on the Geotechnical Study, which is given from the construction site of the Edrasis X. Psalidas A.T.E. It studies the technical and geological conditions on the construction site.
The first part of this thesis analyses the purpose of this thesis and analytically describes the position and the area of the site. After that, there is a full analysis and description of the geology of the general area, however a more accurate geological description of the examined area is given afterwards. This geological description has been occurred after having studied the topographical and geological maps of the area. A geological map is been inserted and shows the exact spot of the construction site within a circle. The last section of the first part of this thesis deals with the process logging of the Laboratory Tests which have taken place in order to extract the parameters needed. These parameters are needed in order to have all the necessary information for us to maintain the final results for the construction. Furthermore, the theoretical base of the laboratory tests is given.
The second part of this dissertation concerns the analytical description of the construction of the Geotechnical Profile. The construction of the profile has been based on the data and the information given from the geotechnical study for the construction site. On this Geotechnical Profile, all four layers of the researched area can be seen and also the last section of this part constitutes the elaborating writing of the parameters and the results from the laboratory tests.
On The third part, we start with the evaluation and the interpretation of the results in order to proceed in finding the Bearing Capacity of the layers. Also, we estimate another important parameter of the foundation of the construction which is the Soil Subsidence.
In conclusion, the last part of this thesis is a Photographic Collage of pictures from the site, the geotechnical study and specifically the Geodrills and the constructed Geotechnical Profile with which we have been consulted throughout the whole thesis.
