Summary:
The work environment is characterized by the development of relationships between the
people who make it up. Human resources are a key element for the successful operation of
a business. However, when there is bullying, its efficiency decreases, which affects the
business. First, the role and importance of human resources for a business must be
understood. At the next level it is necessary to identify the phenomenon of bullying in the
workplace through its definition and the list of its basic characteristics. In order to
understand the severity of the situation, the effects of the phenomenon are examined both
on an individual and operational level. Dealing with it is not an easy process. It is the
obligation of the Management to detect phenomena of work intimidation and to take strict
measures to deal with them. Otherwise, the consequences for the business can be
disastrous.
The purpose of this paper is to examine this complex and complicated phenomenon through
the study of the role played by the Human Resources Management to address bullying in
the workplace.
