Summary:
In recent decades, various researches have been carried out, in which it is pointed out that schools can transfer knowledge, standards and values to their student population, through various complex processes. In addition, the transfer of culture, in which the socialization of teachers is evident, can be considered important, while social inequality is considered to be perpetuated through education systems, whether are linked to nationality, social class and gender. The school can shape the attitudes and perceptions of children about the different, contributing to the creation of stereotypes, through the phenomenon of socialization that develops between them, but also through the curriculum and the beliefs of the teachers themselves. Based on these data, it was selected in this research project to study the cultivation of gender discrimination in the field of Primary Education schools and to evaluate the role of teachers in their reduction.
