Summary:
The science of pedagogy, trying to reach the studying goals, embraces the Educational Theatre. Theatrical or dramatic techniques and activities constitute an alternative way of teaching, in which the students are the main focus of the teaching procedure and they are trying to reach the knowledge with agency of their own and creativity. This new alternative way of teaching tries to diverge from old and teacher-focused ways of teaching. This particular article is aimed at analyzing the contribution of using the role-play technique in teaching the Greek language on the curriculum with regard to a) the approach of the subject on the curriculum and b) culture and formation of positive teaching environment. The subject of the Greek language seems to be the subject on the curriculum best suited to role-play technique since through its use, contributes to the development of the language competence and of those skills which refer to dialogue, co-operation and explanation. Main condition for its successful application is the existing of liberating and convivial ambience, the discussion, the participation of every student and of course, an instructional and supportive role of the teacher.
