Summary:
Vardalachou Evangelia: «Digital Literacy in Secondary Education: the example of an action research». (Under the supervision of Mrs. Sfyroera Maria, Associate Professor N.K.U.A.) This research is an educational action research with students of Secondary Education and its purpose is to investigate the improvement of students' level in terms of their language and digital literacy, with the creative use of Information and Communication Technologies. Specifically, the research questions are:  Through the proposed interventions, will the level of students in language skills be improved so that they become linguistically literate according to the requirements of modern society?  Will the proposed actions motivate students to make creative use of ICT in order to change their relationship with the computer and acquire the necessary digital skills of the 21st century? Students, in the context of the present research, create multimodal content for a school online journal after studying sources, decoding and writing original articles. During the action, collaborative, differentiated and individualized teaching with ICT is applied. The presentation of the magazine in digital version was made with the help of the issuu platform but also with the help of the Joomla platform. A variety of data collection methods were used such as: the Diary, the questionnaires, the observation, the videotaping, the student reports on the action, the interview and the students' creations. The analysis of the data is mainly based on the qualitative analysis of the content, the method of triangulation and the use of descriptive statistics tools. The results of the research are so encouraging that they can be used as a proposal to the Ministry of Education for co-teaching of Language and Informatics in the curriculum of the High School.
