Trends in distance learning and forecasts for the period 2021-2025
Summary:
Technological advances offer new standards in the field of education.
E-Learning, with extensive adaptation so that positive results and powerful
acceptance are ensured, can be a very effective tool. The term “e-Learning” has been
defined as “the on-line learning that is facilitated and supported via the use of
computers and the technology of communications”. Education with this process can
be divided into online education (on-line learning) and offline education (offline).
Online e-Learning refers to the use of technology of internet in order to transport a big
list of methods for enhancing knowledge.
Distance education (distance learning) is a method that presupposes the concept of
distance (that the instructor and the trainee are in a different space) but does not
necessarily require the use of an electronic means. Nowadays, distance education
using computers and the internet is applied to all levels of education, after the period
2020-2021 due to Covid-19. From infants to as an alternative way of educating
employees in companies in order to reduce costs and increase productivity.E-Learning can be used as a tool in distance education but also in the support of
conventional, face-to-face teaching (mixed or hybrid education).
This dissertation presents the role of e-Learning in the field of education in 2021 as
the trends of e-Learning methods and tools as projected to be formed in the period
2021-2025
