Summary:
In the context of this dissertation, a digital game entitled "The Rypoupolis" was designed. The material is addressed to students of the 4th grade and concerns and can be used as additional educational material in the context of teaching the course of Environmental Studies and specifically in the chapter that deals with the concept of pollution. The digital game was assessed by 63 primary school teachers in terms of the evaluation of the teaching and pedagogical methodology, the technical perfection and functionality, the interface and the additional tools given to the teacher. The research was quantitative and closed-ended questions were used and the data analysis was performed with the help of SPSS 26. The results showed that the majority of teachers positively evaluated the digital game and that they would be willing to use appropriate material for teaching the Environmental Study course. More specifically, 62% of teachers said they were familiar with the use of ICT and 43% were positive about the use of digital games for teaching environmental studies. In addition, 59% of the respondents characterized Ripoupoli as an easy-to-use tool, while finally, a significant percentage of 54% distinguished it for its attractiveness.
