Summary:
Human Resources Management and specifically Incentives and Job Satisfaction, have always been one of the most important issues in the business world for the development and success of the company. Factors in the internal and external environment of the company can determine the performance of employees. For this reason, companies develop their staff with methods, incentives and motivation techniques aiming the ultimate economic success of the organization.
Motivation, an extremely difficult process, is influenced by the specific features of each employee. Important Motivation theories lead the employer to understand the human behavior at work. Thus, many companies are distinguished by a number of successful incentives and motivational methods, such as financial rewards, participation in decision-making, pleasant working environment, recognition, participation in the company's profits and reward.
In this thesis, is analyzed the Human Resources Management with basic concepts, with historical flashback, with the analysis of procedures (selection of candidates, staff evaluation, remuneration), objectives of the department and relationship of human resources management with line executives. Important reference to motivation and work satisfaction theories as well as to motivations and techniques.
The main objective of this thesis, is the analysis of the courier company UPS of Greece Inc., in terms of company policy, corporate culture combined with the motivation and work satisfaction of its employees, as well as the modern problems facing the Human Resources department.
An anonymous questionnaire was used to investigate the degree of motivation and job satisfaction in the case study as a research method. The conclusions of the survey can form the basis for the design of administrative actions and the performance of employees through motivation.
