Summary:
This diploma thesis with title «Geotechnical investigation and evaluation. Case study : Construction of an industrial building at the area of Kifissia» consists of (7) seven chapters. The first chapter refers to general information about the phases of a geotechnical study. At the second chapter, the basic features of the geotechnical investigations, the equipment and the usual in situ and laboratory tests. The third chapter refers to geotechnical programming that depends on the type of the project and introduce us the Eurocode about geotechnical designing.and how it is applied. The forth chapter refers to the geotechnical evaluation of the investigation and its results so that selection of the proposed geotechnical characteristic properties. Αt the fifth chapter, the project is presented, analytical description of the geotechnical investigation, descrition of geotechnical and geological conditions at the area of the project and the evaluation of them. Sixth chapter presents ta conclusions and suggestions for the project. In the last (seventh) chapter, there is the bibliography that was used for the redaction of this diploma thesis. At the end, appendices with plan view, drawings and calculations.
