Introductory educational program in the Cardiovascular System and development of educational material with new technologies
Summary:
Education is an important asset, with which we walk throughout the course of our lives. Offered by home, school and community. Adds skills, rules, knowledge and experiences to the human personality, from childhood to old age. It is a process that continues until the thread of life is cut.
The education of juveniles differs from that of adults, mainly in terms of motivation, experiences and opinions. In each category, it is possible that the educational tools that bring results are different, as is the whole learning process.
Referring to the planned education from the school, the university or some other institution, the educators have the duty to share their knowledge with the students, to show them the way of knowledge, learning and exploration. They are constantly looking for new training techniques and methods that will attract anyone interested.
In the area of adult education the goal of educators remains the sharing of knowledge through discussion, expression of views, commentary on experiences, but also the use of interactive teaching methods. An important role in this continuous effort is called to play the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which is characterized by increasing development and continuous influence of our daily lives.
The first chapter of this dissertation analyzes general issues of education, based on the international literature and specifically issues of adult education, educational approaches, teaching methods, basic theories of education, the meaning of educational unity and the educational goals.
The second chapter analyzes issues of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the field of education and health, as well as issues related to digital health, telemedicine, distance education while mentioning the advantages and disadvantages of applying technology in education, the ways of its use and how it is integrated in the educational process. The importance of the use of ICT in the daily life of adult education is emphasized, especially at a time when it is directly affected by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, given that distance education has also increased in adults during this period.
The third chapter focuses on health training. The aim of this dissertation is to design a short adult education program on the cardiovascular system and the use of ICT. This design is presented in the fourth chapter. The same chapter analyzes one of the main objectives of the dissertation, the development of part of the educational material as digital material, using ICT tools.
In the present paper, initially, the training program was designed, the main topic was defined, the target group to which it is addressed, the training techniques and tools that will be used as well as their feasibility, equipment and support material. The educational material was written and then the technologies that would enrich the educational program were selected. Finally, the way of evaluating the educational program was chosen, as a necessary part of the certified adult education. Then the procedures and methods are presented in detail, as well as the entire specially designed program that was created.
