Summary:
Watching the technological advance of our age and its crucial effect on several fields of teaching and learning, this specific project aims to analyze how the new attitudes towards musical education, due to the use of technology, have changed the teaching of music as well as the future potentials on this area. Thus, the Technologies of Informatics and Communication, are examined simultaneously with the basic theories of learning. At first, takes place the presentation of theories and a try to show their development as well as their interrelationship and specially to point out the way in which the theories are applied, specifically in the field of the teaching of music. Concurrently, the relationship between music education theories and educative technology is presented. Additionally, this project investigates the theories that consist the foundation of education pathways which will actualize the music education through technological applications. Subsequently, this project presents the music software that support the application of music technology in educational environments. For this aim, software is categorized according to its educational targets and its recipients, in specific educational range.
In the second part, throughout a poll between students of the third class of college, this project attempts to present the application of the Technology of Informatics and Communication on the education procedure, as well as the students’ contact with this specific Technology, in real time and under the real circumstances of a class. This comes true in the context of schooling programs and gets imprinted by the corresponding questionnaires. The results of the poll as they are codified to specific arrays, by quantitative and qualitative interrelations, demonstrate the reality of the current educational situation of the Greek school. This demonstration creates a new series of research that is related with the introduction of the Technology of Informatics and Communication in music education and the obstacles met in this attempt.
