The effectiveness of nursing interventions in the rehabilitation of patients with stroke
Summary:
Introduction: Rehabilitation nursing is a dynamic and creative process designed to facilitate patients to reach the highest level of functionality in their environment, where functional capacity reflects the degree to which individuals can engage in a dynamic interaction with the environment. . Rehabilitation after a stroke aims to help the sufferer gain as much independence as possible by improving physical, mental and emotional functions. Nursing interventions contribute radically to the rehabilitation and recovery of patients after a stroke and help in the smoother reintegration of patients into society.

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate and determine the nursing interventions performed in patients with vascular stroke during their recovery, as well as their effectiveness.

Methodology: The present study is a systematic review of the literature. To conduct it, a literature review was performed in the PubMed database with search terms "Rehabilitation nursing AND Stroke" to find randomized studies in English from 2015 and later. 9 studies were found that met the inclusion criteria.

Results: Studies have highlighted the importance of rehabilitation and the role of nurses in this process. Some of these studies suggested specific interventions to improve the living conditions and self-management of patients after stroke. Other studies have drawn specific conclusions regarding the implementation and effectiveness of rehabilitation programs in patients with SEN. Also, two of the studies focused on the importance of caring for caregivers to achieve better clinical outcomes in patients.

Conclusions: Nursing interventions in patients with vascular stroke contribute effectively to the progress and rehabilitation of patients at the psychosocial and medical level.
