Summary:
The main purpose of this paper on: "Self-efficacy, mental resilience and work stress of Special Education teachers" was the literature review of current scientific articles, studies and research on the role of self-efficacy and mental resilience in the treatment and management of work Special Education teachers. After the completion of the study, conclusions were drawn and the three axes of investigation were answered. In the first axis, which concerned the search for the causal factors and sources from which the work stress experienced by Special Education teachers comes, which in some cases leads to burnout with various psychosomatic effects, various internal and external factors were identified, which come from the internal and external school context and from individual-personal factors. In the second axis related to the role played by self-efficacy and mental resilience of Special Education teachers, their very important role was identified and their great contribution to the treatment of work stress was highlighted. The formation and maintenance of mental resilience requires certain personality traits of the individual that are biological, psychological and social support traits, which include intelligence, determination, perseverance, creativity, self-image, self-confidence, self-knowledge, self-esteem that lead to self-efficacy, and form strong levels of mental resilience endowing the individual with skills for managing and coping with stressful situations. self-esteem, reducing arousal towards the stressful problem and strengthening the psycho-emotional reactions that can lead to a high level of self-efficacy.
