Summary:
The object of this thesis is involvement and support of the educational process and teaching for the courses “Introduction to Computer Science” of the 2nd Grade and “Computer Science” of the 3rd Grade of High School at Varvakeio Pilot High School. In particular, course support was given to students in the computer school lab on both technical issues and answering questions about the course. Moreover, during the thesis, exams and assignments were produced and graded for the first term for the students of both 2nd and 3rd grade of High School and in addition to the educational content, an activity was designed and implemented for the students of the 2nd grade of High School on the subject of the loop While…Do using the teaching approaches of black-box and the investigative case-based method. Lastly, general upgrades and maintenance were implemented to the school website.
The thesis offered important experience in numerous subjects of the field of Computer Science Teaching, such as the support of the educational process, designing and grading exams, teaching using both traditional and modern teaching approaches and handling of a high school class.
