The Impact of Digital Transformation on Human Resources in a Time of Health Crisis - Telework in the Pandemic.
Summary:
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether and how teleworking has influenced work well-being, employees' feelings about their work and the conflict between their personal and professional lives. To meet the purpose of the survey, a primary quantitative research was conducted based on a structured closed-ended questionnaire. The research sample consists of 60 employees of Greek companies and was followed by convenience sampling, as well as avalanche sampling, while the distribution of the questionnaire was done online. Statistical analysis was performed through descriptive and inductive statistics. The results showed increased levels of job well-being, increased levels of negative emotions and increased levels of conflict between personal and professional life for employees, during teleworking. However, employees are not negative about the generalized application of telework. No statistically significant correlation was found between teleworking and levels of occupational well-being, negative emotions, and conflicts of personal and professional life. So, for work and prosperity, for negative emotions and for the conflicts of personal and professional life, the status of telework is not responsible, nor the way in which it was adopted by the companies.
