Summary:
Political speechees from antiquity until now have been used by politicians to persuade the masses and influence them. In this text, is being analyzed the use of political and visual frames, which are related to the image of the two leaders. Moreover, this text examines persuasion techniques according to Aristotle and other theorists, with special emphasis on the techniques of Robert Cialdini. The style of the speech, the language choices, body language and the dressing choice of these political leaders are also examined. The main purpose of this paper is to explain what these forms are, which of them are direct or indirect, and how they relate to the voters' attitudes and choices. In case of Alexis Tsipras, the dilemma context, the ethics framework and the national necessity framework are used, he chooses the profile of the gighter leader while using directly and indirectly to the greatest extent the technique of sympathy. On the other hand , Kyriakos Mitsotakis uses the ethical framework, he chooses the profile of the classical leader and the techniques of commitment and rarity.
