Summary:
The effective management of the hazards and the crises that appear on a national or
global level are of an outmost importance for every country. In particular, within the
sensitive school environment, managing the above mentioned, as well as the recent
pandemic of COVID‐19, should be accompanied by a set of clear directions and
intelligent designs. In schools of secondary Education in secondary Education, which
is the country's largest educational department including more than 180 school
units, the pandemic management was complex and multivariate.
The specific assignment is investigating the possible crises that could influence the
school society. Moreover, through source references, it examines the presence of
any proactive ways and the degree of preparation of the school units. Within this
framework we examine the structures, programs and activities that could reinforce
the preparation. Through a questionnaire that distributed to the schools of the
above‐mentioned Directorate, we examine the availability of a crisis management
plan but also its validity with the use of drilling. After the three phases of the
pandemic and while the schools are regularly functioning, it has been essential to
raise questions concerning the COVID‐19 pandemic management. The results of the
questionnaire will be evaluated in order for deductions and suggestions to be
proposed with a view towards a better understanding of the situations similar to the
pandemic. Moreover, there will be results deducted in terms of the sustainability of
the personnel awareness, as it is vital to the ever‐changing school environment.
