Evaluation of geological and geotechnical conditions at the construction sites of technical works of the section << Improvement - Widening of the Rhodes - Lindos National Road, Section from Kolymbia to Lindos>>

The Thesis consists of four (04) Chapters. In the first chapter we briefly present the object of the Project as assigned by the Project Owner. The Thesis is part of the Technical Works sub-Project. In the second chapter we analyze the relief, the hydrographic network, the geological structure of the area, as well as the tectonic structure, seismicity and hydrogeological elements. In the third chapter we present the evaluation of the drilling and on-site investigations analyzing them in all parameters. In the fourth chapter we proceed to the geotechnical evaluation based on the field investigations as well as the laboratory analyses, highlighting the technical geological units, the methodology and analyzing four important points of the Project. Finally, in the fifth chapter we reach the main conclusions highlighting the difficulties together with our relevant proposals.
