Summary:
In this work, we investigate the effectiveness of the utilization of the acupuncture method for the treatment of osteoporosis and the problems it causes.
In the first chapter of the paper, is given a detailed description of the metabolic disease of osteoporosis. In the beginning, are recorded the etiology of the disease, its symptoms and the general clinical option of the people suffering from osteoporosis. Osteoporotic pain and fractures caused by osteoporosis are briefly discussed. Ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease are then presented.
In the second chapter of the paper, the basic characteristics of the acupuncture method are presented. There is a brief historical review, the function of acupuncture is described and what effects it has on it during the application of treatments. Also, the diseases in which according to the literature it is considered effective and in which cases it is not indicated are recorded.
In the third chapter, the mode of action of acupuncture in osteoporotic pain is analyzed. Specifically, it is described how it improves posture, how it strengthens the person's psychology, how it helps to deal with spinal fractures and hip fractures.
The fourth chapter presents clinical studies concerning the use of acupuncture to treat osteoporosis and the problems it creates.
In the fifth and last chapter of the paper, the concerns and conclusions arising from the preparation of this paper are recorded and an attempt is made to draw conclusions related to the research questions posed at the beginning and concerning whether the use of acupuncture contributes in the fight against osteoporosis pain.
