This paper aims to analyze through an interdisciplinary approach, the importance of targeted advertising, its impact on modern society and the need for a comprehensive legal framework that covers the complexity that governs it.
For this reason, it was deemed useful to mention the evolution of technology in recent decades focusing on the applications of artificial intelligence, one of which concerns digital advertising as a tool in the field of marketing. Digital marketing techniques with focus on digital advertisement and current legislation are also being examined with recommendations of its improvements.
