Summary:
In this thesis, the main goal is to create an easy-to-use and simplified guide for soap making. In the first part, the basic ingredients that are being used and the preparation methods of some ingredients, recipes and instructions for using a website, which serves to create new recipes, are described. Educators, chemists and non-chemists, can use the information to better familiarize students with chemistry on a more practical level. Students will be able to create their own recipes, depending on the needs they want to meet, get a touch with the laboratory, collaborate and combine creativity with science. In addition to the practical part, the teacher can draw more general information, and create a theoretical approach to saponification. This is recommended for smaller classes or in case of lack of raw materials. The second part of the thesis includes exercises inspired by soap making, suitable for all high school levels. The teacher can adapt the exercises to each recipe, create worksheets and enrich them with theoretical questions, which are also offered in the work, but without limiting him/her.
