Summary:
The present study tries to investigate the film adaptation of three literary works, incorporating their comparative reading with the three corresponding films by Sotiris Goritsas. It is a comparison based on the theory of adaptation utilizing part of the methodological tools provided by the comparative narratology for literature. This research approach aims to highlight correlations and differences in terms of narrative patterns, plot, characters, and narrative techniques, answering the question of whether and to what extent the relationship between cinema and literature can be considered "dialogical".
