The Ministry of Education and the Teachers' Federation of Greece as agents of social act in the Educational Evaluation in Primary Education 1996-2023
Summary:
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the way the Educational Evaluation is pursued in Greek Primary Education during the period 1996 – 2023. The role of the Ministry of Education and the Teachers' Federation of Greece as agents of social act in the Educational Reform is investigated with an emphasis on both in the type of interactions between them as well as with social structures. We focus on the ways in which the two agents facilitate or hinder educational reforms during the period in question, the ways in which they interact with each other, and the precise form their interaction takes. The analysis model we propose examines on the one hand the agent, his intentions, his purposes, his goals, the definitions he gives to each situation and the interaction of the agents in each educational reform episode. Furthermore, it examines how action and interaction in the educational sphere is influenced by and simultaneously influences the other institutional spheres. To achieve this, we put in each reform episode under consideration the following characteristics: a) At the paradigmatic level: the institutional and symbolic structures, b) At the constitutional (actual) level: the agents of action and their modes of interaction.
