This particular work addresses the concept of creative writing within the framework of fairy tale literature. The theoretical portion sheds light on the realm of fairy tales while also serving as the foundation for developing methodological tools to be utilized in the creative segment. The activities pertaining to creative writing are designed to foster cognitive development in children within a social and cultural context. By employing a contemporary methodological approach to the traditional medium of fairy tales, which has evolved over countless centuries, this work focuses on promoting and shaping a child's identity, self-regulation, cognitive growth and social skills acquisition.
Creative writing effectively achieves all educational objectives, particularly by stimulating critical thinking to the extent that children are able to manipulate language and employ words in diverse ways, thereby developing their individual writing styles. Knowledge is acquired through inquiry and discovery, enabling children to learn how to learn. Many activities are structured in a manner that encourages children to empathize with others, fostering encounters with different cultures while dismantling stereotypes and embracing diversity. Creative writing is not solely concerned with aesthetic beauty but also values qualities associated with the intriguing and exceptional.
