Summary:
One of the main characteristics of modern mental health professionals is the efforts they make to improve as much as possible the therapeutic approaches and strategies they choose, in order to really help their patients. In this context, this thesis seeks to present the contribution of creativity during the implementation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adolescents. When it comes to the specific age groups, because of their particular characteristics and their peculiar needs, psychotherapists should be very careful and structure their treatment in such a way as to cover their needs and above all to help them to face their negative thoughts and difficulties. After all, only in this way will their lives improve. For the implementation of this research, the qualitative methodology was chosen, and more specifically the semi-structured interview. Her sample consisted of 13 psychotherapists, with whom interviews were conducted, which were recorded and then transcribed. The collected data underwent a thematic analysis and thus emerged the categories of the research. According to the results, it was shown that indeed creativity can greatly enhance the already high effectiveness of the CBT and for this reason it should be utilized as much as possible.
