Summary:
The prevailing conditions in the work environment constitute an important part of the lives of employees, as several hours are spent in it. Within the workplace, the employee tries to satisfy his primary needs and also tries to highlight his talents and qualifications in order to improve his professional skills. In many cases, working conditions seem to contribute to emotional burnout. Over the years, burnout syndrome has been a considerable concern to the scientific community. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of emotional burnout on the job performance. The study sample consisted of 101 employees. Structured questionnaires were used in the field research. The findings show that emotional exhaustion is inextricably linked to job performance. In conclusion, the findings reveal that emotional exhaustion also leads to job dissatisfaction, reduced commitment to the company and high employee turnover.
