The impact of work- life balance on job performance
Summary:
The issue of work-life balance has gained an important role in the public debate today for a number of different reasons. The United Nations Organization, relevant ministries, researchers, businesses, workers themselves who are affected the most, but also society as a whole, are asking for answers on whether and how this balance affects the job performance of working people. This balance, however, is not something theoretical or impractical, but something that can actually be achieved. However, achieving it, requires an effort to harmonize complex and contradictory factors, which often make it particularly difficult. This research examines the impact of work-life balance on job performance. It also explores the conceptual framework of this relationship by examining the influence of other factors such as leadership, organizational culture, and work environment demands. The research tool was a structured questionnaire was filled by 104 employees. Results showed that work-life balance affects indirectly job performance, through other variables. Finally, practices towards companies, limitations of the present research and suggestions for future research were formulated.
