Summary:
This research work deals with the role of outdoor learning and outdoor activities in shaping environmental responsibility and sustainable behavior and their connection with the principles and objectives of Environmental Education. Investigated the association of cycling as an outdoor activity with the Environmental Education for Sustainable Development. There is an effort to highlight the benefits of participating in outdoor activities for both humans and the environment with the objective of creating environmentally responsible citizens. The findings of this study aspire to help identify measures and the factors that influence and shape the environmentally friendly behavior. The investigation concerns a group of cyclists named "Bicycle-stas" calling on local communities to a new green life culture with sustainability characteristics, ignoring consumer and capitalist standards. The survey aims to highlight the role that could play cycling in contemporary social, political, economic and environmental crisis. Backed by research that the bicycle can be a moving vehicle in the search for an alternative to the vision of sustainability, as a medium-standard environment-friendly behavior. This research project wants to contribute to the recognition of individual responsibility of everyone on environmental issues and the need for action against them. It aims at fostering environmental awareness and responsibility while cultivating empowering people and actions initiative. Research on the use of the bicycle and the human interest in it, information and experience in the wider educational research field can contribute to outdoor activities and outdoor learning.
