Summary:
This paper will present the way in which Byzantium was dealt with and dealt with by Western Europe and its true followers from the 13th century to the present. Then, a view of the practical treatment of Byzantium by modern Greek society through the operation of Byzantine museums. Also, there are presented museum theories that apply to the modern museum, in order to be used for the drawing up of an educational program inspired by the Byzantine civilization and bringing the young people to the "misunderstood" Byzantium.
