In this master thesis we study the notions of type, cotype and finite representability of Banach spaces. We prove three main theorems about finite representability of lp spaces in infinite dimensional Banach spaces : The Krivine theorem, the Maurey-Pisier theorem and the Pisier theorem about the stable type p constant of a Banach space.
