Summary:
Leadership is extremely important for the development of humanity. Outstanding and proactive leaders will lead society to success. Although it is neglected enough, the idea of leadership training is becoming more and more acceptable. Leadership is one of the attributes of gifted children and probably the one that is more neglected by research so far. It is essential to become an integral part of the education of gifted children through activities that will provide vision, broaden the horizons and exacerbate their critical thinking. The purpose of this study is to investigate the existence of possible relationships and differentiations between leadership, emotional intelligence and perfectionism of primary school pupils. For this purpose a questionnaire was given to pupils of the sixth grade, who were judged to have a high academic performance compared to their peers. This questionnaire includes three scales, the Roets Rating Scale for Leadership, the Emotional IQ scale (EQ Scale) and the Perfectionism scale. The results showed a strong positive correlation between emotional intelligence and leadership skills and a small positive but statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and perfection, which places emotional intelligence at the center of interest and strengthens its importance.
