The Calderon operator in wave scattering theory
Summary:
This diploma thesis deals with the study of the electromagnetic scattering problem by a spherical perfect conductor and the way this leads us to the definition of the Calderon operator. In particular, we study the external scattering problem constructing the classical solution of the problem with the vector spherical harmonic functions. Then, we formulate properties for the appropriate Sobolev spaces. Finally, we define the Calderon operator that depicts the tangential component of the electric field in this magnetic field and we study some of its properties.
