Teaching plan with Innovative Teaching Methods - Unit "Natural Protected Areas: National Parks"
Summary:
In this paper, the strategic planning of a course is studied in a module of the "Geology and Natural Resources Management" course of the First Class of the General High School. In particular, innovative, experiential and collaborative learning methods are being studied in the section on "Natural Protected Areas". Despite the overriding importance of effective teaching of this module for the integrated education of responsible and informed citizens, the effective methods of teaching these disciplines have been little researched in the past. The need of developing appropriate teaching methods for the unit of 'Natural Protected Areas' in formal education becomes apparent through the literature review and the environmental risks discussed. In this paper, therefore, the teaching plan of the section "Natural Protected Areas: Natural Parks" is carried out, using innovative teaching methods and techniques, through an experiential and collaborative approach to teaching. This design can be a model lesson plan for future use, adaptation and development by teachers in both primary and secondary education.
