Summary:
In the current master thesis we present a classic theorem which determines the structure of finitely generated groups with infinitely many ends. In particular, such a group is either a free group with amalgam either an HNN extension. We are following the proof that Scott and Wall presented which makes use of results from the Bass-Serre theory.
