Summary:
In the current master thesis we present the Fundamental Theorem of Bass-Serre Theory, a structural theorem where is proven how the groups that acts on trees are "analysed". Using this theorem we show three classical theorems of Group Theory, the subgroups theorems of Kurosh and of Nielsen-Schreier, as well as the theorem of Grushko.
