Summary:
This article presents the mapping of the professional identity of theologians, the recording of their positions on the teaching of Religious Education (R.E.) as well as the social role of the course. The pan-Hellenic survey "The perceptions of Theologians-Educators regarding their role in the School", was carried out online from 07 January to 04 April 2021. This study connects perceptions of current working teachers with corresponding ones recorded in a 1998 survey.. The research reaches the conclusion that the majority of RE teachers share their conscious desire to collaborate with the Sciences of Education as well as the confessional type of teaching of Theology.
