Summary:
Compact Quantum Groups are C* algebras equiped with an appropriate *-homomorphism, which are a simultaneous generalisation of the commutative C* algebra and of the reduced C* algebra of a discrete group.
After the study of the properties of compact quantum groups, we give the definition of the representation of a compact quantum group and, in the end, Theorems that are analogous to corresponding results in the representation of compact groups.
