Περίληψη:
It is the purpose of this article to demonstrate that Pindar’s poetic intent was to suggest that Psaumis’ athletic triumph was not only unexpected, but also an effective means of his future prevalence over his political adversaries, either internal or external or even both, through his implicit identification with the supreme god and with a rather obscure mythological figure, Erginus, the king of Orchomenus, who participated at the Argonautic expedition. This identification is primarily achieved through a network of interconnected verbal repetitions. © 2020 Fabrizio Serra Editore. All rights reserved.
