Στρατηγικές ισορροπίας και κοινωνικη βελτιστοποίηση σε συστήματα αναμονής με εναλλκτικές μορφές εξυπηρέτησης
Summary:
The model is concerned with two servers of transportation services. We consider
two types of such services. The first is taxis service. Taxis arrive according
to a Poisson process with rate θ. The second is a bus service. Buses arrive
according to a stochastic process with a known expected residual inter-arrival
time which we assume to be b time units. No limit on the bus capacity is
assumed. Commuters are assumed to have no preference as to the type of service,
and their only concern is to maximize their expected net benefit. The
generation of commuters who require service is assumed to form a Poisson
process with rate λ. We analyze the commuters’ decision process under two
different cases. In the observable model, an arriving commuter observes the
number of waiting commuters at the taxis service, whereas in the unobservable
model he does not have this information. Also, we analyze the problem of social
welfare optimization.
