Summary:
sl(2) is the 2 dimensional algebra consisting of all endomorphisms with trace 0 of a vector space V over a field F. In this master's thesis we deal with the representations of sl(2) and we prove that there is a 1-1 correspondence between the irreducible L-modules (up to isomorphism) and the set of positive integers. In addition, we prove the existence of a unique up to isomprphisms standard cyclic module for every weight λ and we compute Freudenthal's formula for irreducible finite dimensional modules of highest weight.
