In this master thesis, we present basic properties of Hadamard matrices, focusing on their growth factor.
The determination of the growth factor of a Hadamard matrix is still an open problem and a lot of investigation is ongoing. We study extensively the cases of Hadamard matrices of orders 12, 16 and 20 and to that end we examine their pivot patterns by employing useful formulae for minors and bounds for pivots.
